Oh, winter tours. I’d almost forgotten what a challenge this can be. In Nashville, the threat of black ice is enough to keep most wizard kids in their homes. Augusta GA isn’t fully mapped by google or GPS systems, and of course we learned that the hard way. Winter weather in the north is… well, winter weather in the north. However, our biggest crowd-killer might be the school night. I’ve had many fans tell me that they’re just too busy with school to make it to the show. One such fan went on to say that she’s sure we’ll be back soon anyway. Hm. It seems like maybe we’ve been touring so much that people just assume if they skip one show they’ll be able to see us again in a couple months. It seems like a lot of people are making this assumption. Which begs the really straight-forward and obvious question: do they realize what happens when everyone starts skipping the shows? Scenes come and go; I was kinda hoping wizard rock would last forever. It still can, but it’s a two way street. I’m barreling down my side of the street, looking for a beacon. I’ll keep going until I run myself into the ground; just hoping that doesn’t happen any time soon.
It’s not just “school nights”—I could probably have made it to your Wilmington show easily enough, except I work until...
